The Graduate Program in Science and Technology of Synchrotron Light source

 

Brief Introduction

 

The College of Science in National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) collaborates with the College of Nuclear Science and National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC) to establish the Graduate Program in Science and Technology of Synchrotron Light source. This program offers Master and PhD degrees and is made up of two subgroups: scientific research associated with physics department on behalf of College of Science and engineering-related research associated with the Department of Engineering and System Science on behalf of College of Nuclear Science.

 

Special Features of the Program

 

The aim of the scientific research subgroup is to cultivate scientists specializing in synchronton light research.  The engineering related research subgroup aims to train experts with synchrotron-related techniques in maintaining, developing and building synchrotron facilities.

For Master degree students, 24 credit hours and a thesis
