Brief Introduction

 

Situated in the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the Institute offers a complete degree program including master’s and doctorate degree.

 

The Institute of Information Systems and Applications was founded in August 2001.

 

This program is designed to offer student’s expertise  in the  emerging technology fields and information professions. The primary research subjects of this program are : Information Systems and Management, Digital Learning Technology, Bio-informatics, and Medical informatics. There are two Programs best suited to International Students:

 

  1. International Graduate Program for Social Networks and Human-Centered Computing among NTHU, NCCU, and Academic Sinica (with Sinica Scholarship)
  2. International Masters Program in Information Systems and Applications (with TaiwanICDF scholarship)

Special Features

 

The institute places a strong emphasis on the theory and technology of the information systems and applications in all field of information science. Information system management has recently been integrated into our curriculum. We have excellent teachers with different domain knowledge. At present, half of our teachers are full time, and the others are co-engaged. Our main researches are briefly explained as followed:
